IMAGO Connects: The Sense of Love Series
Spend 15 hours training with
Harville Hendrix, PhD and Helen LaKelly Hunt, PhD

This two-day institute provides a rare opportunity to learn about Imago directly from co-founders,
Harville Hendrix PhD and Helen LaKelly Hunt PhD.  You will learn the Imago principles that
help couples create conscious, egalitarian marriages in which they experience deep connection
and intimacy.  You will experience the Imago Dialogue and learn how to use the process with
couples to transform and deepen their "connections".

IMAGO is based on the classic best-seller “Getting the Love You Want”
by Harville Hendrix, PhD, which sold over 1.5 million copies.  Since publication,
over 2000 therapists in 20 countries have trained in Imago Theory and Practice.

the most effective model for understanding and improving relationships.

In 2005, Oprah Winfrey included "Imago Theory" in her list of "Unforgettable! Oprah’s
Top 20 Shows".  In the Oct 2005 issue of “O” Magazine, Oprah talks about her introduction
to Imago through Harville Hendrix, and how it changed her view of relationships .

In 2006, Imago is launching “IMAGO Connects” eductational series to make this unique
approach available to marriage and relationship Educators.  Sub-titled “The Sense of Love”,
the series will include: "Imago Connects I" an introductory 3-hour seminar; "Imago Connects II"
a brief relationship education course designed to be taught in four sessions of 2 hrs each; "Imago
Connects in a Box": a set of "out-of-the-box" materials. The Connects Series complements the
Imago “Couplehood as a Spiritual Path” program for churches designed to be taught as eight, 2-hr sessions,
which was introduced to Smart Marriages in 2005.

The Institute training will qualify you to: All participants will be authorized to
lead the "IMAGO Connects I" and “Couplehood as a Spiritual Path” seminars and to utilize the "teach
out of the box" materials.  In addition these two days are recognized by Imago Relationships International
as credits and training towards certification to deliver more advanced IMAGO Connects programs.
An additional 3 days of training is required to teach the "Imago Connects II" program.

Imago Connects: “The Sense of Love” seminars have been designed for use in your community marriage
education program as a wonderful way to help participants quickly learn more about the nature of
connection.  “The Sense of Love” subtitle reflects the response of so many people to Imago, who
say “it just makes sense”.  It also reflects the experience of the Imago dialogue, that quickly
creates an increased sense of connection, and understanding of your partner.  Imago
programs provide an experience of connection that is an ideal foundation for education
programs you provide in your community, or as a complement to other skills based-programs. The
"Couplehood" program is ideal for faith-based communities, and people with spiritual and religious
interests.

The Institute is open to Educators,  Therapists and the Public.  Couples are warmly invited to attend.
The seminars can be taught by therapists, counselors, clergy, lay educators and mentor couples in churches or
community settings.  They are effective for singles as well as married and committed couples and work
for heterosexual, gay or lesbian couples. They are also applicable to all cultures and classes, and couples
and individuals can also use them "out of the box" as a self-study program.   

Materials you will receive: Participants will receive a leader guides, couple workbooks
and materials describing the "IMAGO Connects I" and "Couplehood as a Spiritual Path" programs.  

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance from Imago Relationship International.
Completion of the two-day Institute includes permission to teach the concepts and purchase course
materials and teach the curriculum. Those who wish to teach the curriculum will be provided
with ordering information for course materials.
