Interested in Volunteering for theSmart Marriages Conference?

This is a great opportunity for a total immersion in marriage and family
education. It's a behind-the-scenes, close-up, meet-the-experts experience.

It's also a great deal. Volunteers attend the conference for $45 rather
than the $255 student discount rate. The $45 fee covers the full conference from
Wed July 2 6:30pm - Sat July 5 10pm including 12 keynote sessions,
seven 90 min workshops, and lunch at the Wed vol training meeting.
Banquets are optional and are extra: $39 pp.

Volunteers don't miss any part of the conference. They work
inside the workshops, seminars and plenary/keynote sessions assisting
the presenters and attendees, checking badges, and making sure the
sessions run smoothly.

Volunteers must attend and work the full conference, and must attend a volunteer
training meeting at 11am Wed July 2. The volunteer commitment ends
at 6pm on Saturday, July 5, at the conclusion of the mandatory volunteer debriefing meeting.
No exceptions.

Volunteers may also work either a pre or post conference training institute
at a reduced fee of $60 a day on a space-available basis with positions
limited to one volunteer per institute. These spots fill fast. Apply early.
If volunteer Institute positions are not available, volunteers can attend institutes
at the regular $130 per day "with conference" rate.

Volunteers must be full-time students in degree-granting programs. 2008 graduates qualify.

We make some exceptions for non-students based on financial need. Email to explain your
situation.

Also, because this is a marriage conference, non-student spouses of student volunteers may
attend on a work-exchange volunteer basis.

If students aren't able to volunteer, they can attend the conference at the discounted
student fee of $255. Also check the group and spouse discounts.

Rooms at the San Francisco Hilton Hotel are $115 single/double.
We have a limited number of $75 "volunteer dorm" rooms - for up to 4 volunteers per room.
If you'd like to stay in a dorm room, indicate this on your volunteer application. The dorm rooms are
double rooms with two queen beds.
